The Summer of Change is coming to a close. Only a few more lessons left. I hope you have been able to pick up a few things that have helped you along the way. Some people have asked me to make this available as one document so they don't have to keep going back and forth through my This Thought Counts blog for the posts.
So, I have put every lesson, including the extras into a book for you. It has all the lessons and my final words. I hope you can return to it again and again and gain everything you need to make the most amazing life ever.
Pre-order now at:
Amazon
Available August 30th from:
Smashwords
Hopefully it will also get to Barnes & Noble and iTunes, but it's hard to tell these days.

It's a rumpus room
Yeah. I haven't updated lately. I'm so busy with working 20+hour days lately that I haven't had the time. But I thought I'd give you an update on JulNoWriMo.
With my busybee'ness, I got in 74,032 words, just about half what I was planning on. Just about a quarter from my ultimate goal. But, July was just as busy as August, so at least I got something written :)
I've got two of my YA stories in the submission stage. Which essentially means, send to publishers/agents and then try to forget about it while you do other things.
I hate that part :)
Anyway, I'm still writing and working and getting over an infection, but if you haven't kept up with it, the Summer of Change is still going on. Lesson 23 posted a couple days ago. Some great lessons to help you make a better life for yourself.

Chugging along
I've been so busy with Summer of Change that I haven't done much here for awhile. But I'm still chugging! Have almost 70k written for JulNoWriMo. Just submitted a new manuscript to a new publisher. Have another one I'm doing final updates on before I submit it.
Life's good. No...life's great!

Today is June 1...so what does that mean?
What does the fact of today being June 1st have to do with anything? Well, let me tell you.
In 30 days, JulNoWriMo starts. Two years ago I did my first JulNoWriMo, barely made 50,000 words and practically collapsed when it was over. Since then, I've been writing a LOT more. Last year I went for 50k and ended up with 210k. In March I went for 100k in MarNoWriMo and ended up with 226k.
So now I knuckle down over the next month, getting the little things done in preparation for the month I won't be around. Because I'll be writing, writing, writing, writing, writing...
This July I've set my goal for 150k. Yes, I do set relatively conservative goals considering past precedent, but I have more than just writing going on this summer. Some major changes in my life that are more important than writing. (Can you believe I actually said that?)
I can't promise to update my status bar daily, but I do update my excel spreadsheet daily and when I come online will update my numbers.
Happy writing!
My hint? Have a month's supply of Pepsi on hand ;)

What if he didn't have a ...? #8sunday #paranormal #humor #romance
Greeting, Weekend Writing Warriors!
Ari is finally getting a hold on the fact that there are other worlds and she's fallen for a man who is, in essence, an alien. As she thinks about Terrian, a horrifying thought hits her. Of course, Mayir, her trainer hears her no matter where she is. It's hard not having any privacy.
Your Dimension Or Mine?
Dating Service Series
When Ari Reynolds signed up for an online dating service, she only did it to get her sister off her back about her dateless life. She never expected to be contacted by men from other dimensions or have a demon claim ownership of her through a magical DNA contract. Now that her eyes are open, she is catapulted to Dimension Zeta. There, a powerful Fae named Mayir trains her to defend herself against the mysterious Orion.
Even more confusing, she finds herself falling for Terrian, a man from an entirely different dimension. Terrian promises to help defend her, but when Orion steals something of great importance to her, she must stand alone against him. Can a mere human fight off the magical control of an immortal being who wants her more than anything?

What if the rest of him wasn’t like other human males? If he didn’t have a…
Moaning at that horrible thought, she turned over and glared at the wall. “Seriously,” she grumbled aloud to herself. “There is an evil demon who wants me to be his and is coming after me, and the thing I am worried about is if Terrian has all the right equipment?” Before she could continue her little rant, laughter filled her head. “Stop listening to me!”
“I would,” Mayir responded, “but you are extremely refreshing, Arwen. I have never met anyone quite like you.”

Imagine: She saw the goon as a fly and in her hand was a fly swatter.
Feel: She felt the joy as her hand swung the swatter and squished him against the wall.
Understand: She knew that the end result, squashed fly, was all that mattered, the rest was up to the universe.
Let it go: Mentally, she let control go and thanked the universe for making the end result happen.
And then she opened her eyes.
His brown eyes stared into hers with an amused expression. Looking at her hand, she was embarrassed to see it holding a fly swatter and it was resting against the back of his head.
“You thought you could hit me with that? What is it supposed to do?” he asked before bursting into laughter.

Scheduling a Permalink in Blogger
I have noticed when authors and even bloggers go to join blog hops there seems to be a large issue with links being incorrect when all is said and done. I don't know quite why that is, excepting maybe someone creates their permalink and yet the post isn't supposed to go live until the next month...at which point there is an extra step one must take when scheduling their post to be sure they get the correct URL to post into the bloghop.
(You should NEVER just use the main URL of your blog. People don't necessarily visit exactly that day and could become annoyed if they visit two days later and cannot find the specific post that went with that particular bloghop.)
So, here is a quick and easy lesson on how to schedule your post so that the link is correct in blogger:
1. Start a new post.
